This 12 square meter floor was supplied and installed by Nufloors Floor Sanding and is new Aqua flooring. It took several days to install the new timber flooring as auckland decided to rain heaverly again.

Preparation is the key to insure that the floor goes down right and stays there for ever. So the concrete floor was ground first with our concrete grinder the coated with a VerMesiter single pack product.

VerMeister Primer Sf is a Single component polyurethane moisture-cure primer that is water and solvent-free for treating subfloors before laying wood flooring. The low level viscosity and the excellent penetration make it ideal for strengthening and waterproofing concrete and anhydrite screeds with a high level of moisture up to a maximum of 5% M.C. (up to 2.8% M.C. with just one coat). It is recommended especially for screeds with built-in heating. Moreover, the absence of solvents makes it safe for transportation and storage (nonflammable product) and when applied (odourless, it can also be used in the vicinity of rooms that are in use). Compared with products containing water, VerMesiter PRIMER SF offers a much higher coverage and does not increase the humidity of the screed.

Once dry the new timber was laid to the concrete using a special flexible glue that is designed to make sure your new timber flooring never comes up. The next day one of our teams of specializes floor sanders came in and sanded, trowel filled and coated the floor in a Water based polyurethane from Bona.
